an unmanned ship containing thousands of fertilized human embryos contained in cryostasis was sent off with an FTL drive to unknown coordinates. it arrived out of fuel around the binary planets celius i & ii, and released its payload unto both bodies. these children had little knowledge of earth, humanity, or John Coltrane. shame
while the pod sent down to celius i landed intact and provided for its descendants well, celius ii’s pod had difficulty in the landing procedure. as a result, celius i’s colony developed at a much more rapid pace comparatively, deriving much information from the undamaged pod and its components. celius ii’s growth and technical development was not nearly as quick.
